Edison Motors, run by a band of former B.C. truck loggers, is poised to begin building a limited series of hybrid electric semi trucks that has the potential of overhauling the highly-polluting heavy duty transport sector.
The transition to electrified public transit buses will require upgrading the charging infrastructure, considering new business models and training thousands of technicians, according to Mississauga-headquartered Schneider Electric Canada.
